My Supporters
This topic came to me at a time where I have needed my supporters more than ever. This week has been a very troubling week for me, and the first supporter I have is my husband. My husband makes him self available whenever I call just to listen to me vent, and he gives me great advise on how to deal with certain situations. He is so patient with me, and really makes me feel that no matter what we are here for one another. My mother is my other supporter because she is older and has more wisdom. What I am going through in life she has been there done that, so she knows the words to help me over come anything I might be feeling. Weather it's finding me verse in the bible or just simple hour long conversations I always feel after our conversations I have learned something new. Having family support is great to have because I am a firm believer that family comes first. I have seen friends come and go, but my family is still here.

"My Connections to Play"
And when they played they really played. And when they worked they really worked. -- Dr. Seuss
From there to here, from here to there, funny things are everywhere. -- Dr. SeussI remember one of my favorite things to do in school was FREE PLAY!!!! The first center of choise would be home living or dramatic play. I love to put on heels and carry a purse. I always get a kick out of my children now when I see the differnt behaviors they act out in the classrooms. Geting the parents to donate their old clothes and shoes to the classroom, and if some classrooms have a kitchen area, they can ask their families for old food boxes, and have the kids creat a cook book. This will give it the real effect. It is important to know that pretend play is just one of the many ways that children explore the world they are living in. By dressing up, pretending to cook, holding and feeding babies, washing dishes, going to work, or washing clothes, children are trying on these different adult roles.

Child Birth
Four years ago my son was born on August 6 weighing in at 8lbs 9.46oz 21inches long. I remember this day like it was yesterday. I never you to eat cheese or drink milk before I had him nor did I eat fish. It was after I received the book "What To Expect When Expecting" that changed my eating habits during my pregnancy. This book had all of the dos and don't s Moms should follow during their pregnancy to have a health baby. I followed this book down to the tee, and I had a wonderful pregnancy. With this being my first child I didn't know what to expect. My hospital stay was smooth sailing we had no traffic or anything to get in our way as we drove to the hospital. I loved my stay at the hospital because I got royal treatment for three whole days. I loved it!
Doing my research I am very fortunate because looking at child births in other countries and seeing the had times a pregnant women goes through it makes you want to not take things for guaranteed. In Africa giving birth is one of the most dangerous things to do. This is one of the leading cause of death or serious injuries in Africa. Because there is not high tech equipment nor pharmacies many women have to go without having the right vitamins, and not being able to see how the baby is developing while in the womb. Many women have no choice but than to give birth in their homes.
While doing my research it makes you feel for these families because for many having children is what you want. I love my son and don't know what I would do without him and not everyone can say they are as fortunate. Its good to be thankful for what you have.
